Gonzales Welding Shop
This large building had to incorporate a crane which ran on rails the length of the building. This required larger steel and footings to support the extra weight. While constructing the footings, the weather was unusually wet for months. The site was situated in an area which did not drain and had tight, challenging soils to complicate matters. We eventually had to remove all the wet soil that would not dry out. We then brought in 40 semi loads of sand to fill in the entire building pad. Once this was accomplished, we were able to continue with construction.

Antelope Valley Church Fellowship Hall
The new fellowship hall solved a couple of problems the aging church was facing. Space for activities was achieved while creating a handicap access to the main sanctuary. The connection between old and new actually slopes, making a ramp less obvious. The existing church basement wall was compromised by soil pressure and had begun to bow inwards. This situation was stabilized by placing reinforced concrete between the two buildings to remove water and to reinforce the existing basement wall. A new set of steps was built at the main entry incorporating hand rail, which was previously missing.
